The day began...with Joost!!! Learning how to concentrate 2 fingers in LH 4 in RH thumbs out and in and alternating...we are still struggling! We attempted to tie a knot in a big rope brought by the postman in his big sack. We had warm up with our flutes playing chords and scales grounding our bodies. Alice had a one to one session with Joost and discussed being the whole package as a performer but also about the baby stripey wild boar pyjamas in the woods! Katinka had a one to one session with Jeroen and learnt all things Baroque. We had 2 very inspiring masterclasses in the afternoon taken by Emily with repertoire including Mozart, Poulenc, Gaubert, Widor, Jolivet, Messiaen etc. 30 minutes before dinner we had flute orchestra and were still humming Rossini over dinner! The evening workshop was unbelieveable lead by Harrie Starreveld. Best get practising circular breathing and the 8 year to learn trill on the Shakuhachi! Now after a busy exciting day it is time for bed!
