After weeks and weeks of looking forward to NeFlAc, we finally started! At half past 10 everybody arrived at Rhederoord. To start with we had a welcome meeting, where Suzanne and Emily gave us all the information we needed for the week to follow. Then we all warmed up together, learning each others names while playing games outside in the beautiful weather. After this we had lunch and were able to move into our rooms. We are living in room 103 which is also called 'The Bridal Suite'. It is a beautiful room with a bath and a balcony, where we are writing this blog at the moment. At 2 pm the individual presentation of the NTKers started and then the YIPers continued at 4.30 pm. In total we listened to 5 hours of flute playing!
We had our delicious dinner. Very dutch food! ' Snijbiet' and meatball. Some people said: ' What's that, snijbiet?' It was delicious! Than we had a workshop from Roberta Alexander. All different aspects of podiumpresentation came across. It was very funny and we learned very, very much!She also practiced with us for the concerts at the end of the week. It was FANTASTIC!!!
After that we sat downstairs together and then we went to bed.
